Me, Myself & I

who ami?  good question!  i try to not hide who i am - and am open to revealing more about myself if you ask...

basically i'm a pretty simple person.
i'm the daughter of missionaries, and the youngest of four children.

being raised overseas was a wonderful thing - it gave me a sense of the bigness of the world, but allowed me, at the same time, the chance to see what a small world this really is.  it gave me a love for peoples of all backgrounds, and a love for the outdoors and of varied surroundings.  a longing to explore this world and be a nomad.  but being raised overseas also brought with it a sense of not belonging - in just one place.

there is no one place i really call home, which has also given me a great appreciation for family, and how home is really where you are loved and accepted. it can be anywhere.  "bloom where you are planted".

my big love in life is photography.  when i was 15 i told my parents of my dream to become a National Geographic photographer and they bought me a camera.  i've been snapping away ever since.  i love photos...could sit down with a stack of photo albums for an afternoon and be happy.  and i particularly love to look at pictures taken by other people - to gleen ideas and see how they view the world.  i have a section on this site strictly for this purpose.  looking at pictures taken  by others has encouraged me to see the details, and not just the big picture - to find beauty in things i might not normally photograph.  it is amazing what you can learn!

Anyways - that's it from me for now...
